Racketball is becoming increasingly popular across the country as an alternative to the rigours of Squash, with particular encouragement in Middlesex, where there are ambassadors for the game at MSRA level.

Oakleigh Park runs a four division block league with around twenty people playing on a regular basis and there is an annual Racketball tournament.

Racketball claims to be the fastest growing racket sport in the UK.  It is generally agreed to be an easier game than Tennis or Squash
so you are able to get to a reasonable level in a relatively short period of time.  Certainly a number of our former squash players relish
the fact that Racketball is rather more ‘forgiving’ on the ageing body, yet it is very aerobic and therefore ideal for maintaining fitness and the burning of calories.

A number of tennis players, who have not taken to squash, have also found Racketball a ‘halfway house’ between the disciplines of Squash and Tennis and have enjoyed the occasional game when the weather has been too wet for Tennis outside.
