NEWS IN BRIEF
Congratulations to Mervyn Nelson, winner of Secretary of the Year at the Middlesex SRA AGM last year, the third time in seven years an Oakleigh Park team secretary has won this award.
And well done Oakleigh Park for winning Squash Club of the Year at the same event.
The new first team, featuring Alison Waters, world woman no.5, will be looking to better their 4th place in Middx Div 1 last season. Well worth a visit to home matches!
Great stuff from last season’s second team, promoted to Middx Div 2 as champions and to our Vintage 1 team for winning Div 1 at the first time of asking, and to Vets 1 and OP4, who were both promoted.
In the Spring tournaments, Kiran Nayee retained his closed championship, whilst Gordon Kerr won the Vets, and Scott Ryan the Clubmans.
